The Studio
Lume is a massage studio in Florence, in the residential quarter of Coverciano, east of the historic center. One room, one table, a lit candle. No rush, no background music, no menu of services to scroll through.
Every treatment begins with listening. Marta — founder and sole therapist — does not apply protocols. She chooses the gesture based on the body in front of her, the day that person carries with them, the tension her hands find beneath the skin.
Marta has lived inside this profession for ten years. She trained at the Diabasi school — one of the most rigorous in Italy — and at over twenty-five other schools across Italy and Europe. Deep tissue, myofascial, sports, lymphatic drainage, holistic, prenatal, Wat Po Thai. Each certification is a different way of reading the body, and they all converge into a single practice.
The studio is deliberately simple. Terracotta floor, lime-washed walls, a window that lets in afternoon light. Lume means light — but also presence. The presence of the one who listens, and of the one who allows themselves to be listened to.
We work by appointment only. One person at a time.
